Hey Camp Swingers!  We are very excited to announce the dates for 2012! Camp will be October 26-28, 2012 and you are invited.  Register now!

Camp Swing 2011 registration is open, and we hope you can make it!  We don’t have the teachers or schedule nailed down just yet, but you can reference last year’s to get an idea of what camp will be like.  And get this, we often sell out, and early, so you better sign up right away!

Costume/Dress Up Party Saturday October 22nd!

Saturday night is traditionally the dressiest night at Camp Swing !

It is our Camp Swing halloween party!

We wanted to open the opportunity for folks to wear costumes, finery, vintage fabulousity, whatever strikes your fancy!

Of course, we know that not everyone digs dressing up, and no cosumes are required, so please don’t panic! We always have a HUGE VARIETY of outfits at every dance. You are sure to see ghouls and ghosts, soldiers and sailors, witches and warlocks, hep cats and cool kittens, but you won’t be out of place no matter what you wear!

Many folks really do up their cabins – chairs, rugs, flowers, monsters, aliens, motorcycles – you name it!

On Saturday afternoon, we will be “judging” cabins for interior design! This contest is entirely voluntary, and you can sign up for it when you sign in at the front gate on Friday afternoon.

The contest will be judged on Saturday during the “social hour” before dinner, and the criteria are CULTURE, CREATIVITY & COMFORT.

Some ideas:

• art
• flowers
• rugs
• furniture
• fancy bedding – air mattress, duvet, pillows
• battery powered lamps, decorations and accessories

Not allowed:

• any flames besides fire in the fireplace – no candles
• no gas or oil powered lamps
• no pets

Keep in mind that bunks can be moved around and two bunks can easily be made into a “QUEEN” bed. You shouldn’t plan to nail anything on the walls, but you will probably find plenty of exisiting nails you can hang things from.

There will be prizes for the top three cabins!
