The
Mendocino Woodlands, 3 hours north of San Francisco is a wood and
stone work of art created by the WPA and CCC during the Depression of the
1930's. Recently added to the National Historic Register, this camp is
a national treasure.
Accomodations:
This is a large spread-out camp with 46 four-bed cabins on hilly terrain. Each
cabin has a fully enclosed fireplace, closet and balcony. The cabins are
clustered in three groups, each group with a hot water shower/toilet facility.
Camp
Swing participants will share cabins and must provide their own warm bedding.
Each cabin is equipped with link spring cots with thin mattresses. You should
also bring a flashlight and/or battery operated light for your cabin--no
candles allowed. All meals are included in the cost. No pets please.
