Class Overviews

Note: not every class has an overview, just the ones we thought needed further explanation. :-D

Intro to Swing

Micah & Colleen will get you going with some swing rhythms and basic lead/follow skills.  If you are a beginner or need to brush up, this is the place to start!

Charleston for 2

Like crazy kicks and beautiful matching lines in your dancing? You will love 20s Partner Charleston, the dance that led up to the Lindy Hop, and is an integral part of Lindy Hop. All of these moves can be blended seamlessly into your Lindy Hop.

Hustle

Kick back to the 70s and learn some disco moves!  This class will teach the basics of the New York Hustle for leads and follows including the starter step, standing and turning basics, underarm turns, check step, continuous coaster step.  Get your Disco groove on, come and learn the Hustle!

Lindy Footwork

There is more to dancing than triple-steps! Fun and creative footwork for your swing-out variations.

Swop! Lindy Hip Hop Fusion

We’ll show you what to do when the music gets too fast to keep your feet under you, with a little bit of Hip Hop thrown in. You should be comfortable with the Lindy Swing Out.

Introductory Balboa

Never done Balboa before? Or, kinda know that basic step where you're smushed together? Then this class if for you! We'll be working on basic footwork and technique that will enable you to dance Balboa all night long!

Balboa Variations, For The Not So Faint Of Heart

If you feel comfortable with the basics of Balboa and Bal-Swing, but are looking for some things you can do to spice it up a bit, then you'll want to take this class. We're going to be working on some great footwork and stylistic variations that will give your Pure Bal and Bal-Swing a little extra flare.

Jam Ham

Not your mama's marmalade.  Flashy showcase moves for the jam circle, without aerials.

Beg. Savory Lindy

Classic moves for your lindy hop. Ideal for Freshman and Sophomores.

Very Easy Lindy

So you know a little lindy but just can’t seem to make it thru a whole song? Allen & Jessica will show you some tricks to blend your East Coast and Lindy together.

20s Charleston

A Charleston Routine for beginners.  No Partner Required. (perform it at the talent show!)
